Ted Cruz has found himself in the middle of yet another accusation of fraud leveled against his campaign for creating a fake Facebook post saying that he now had the support of South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy. Cruz is also vehemently denying any connection to the post.

“Our campaign had absolutely nothing to do with this fraudulent Facebook post,” Cruz tweeted Tuesday night.

A Cruz campaign spokesperson challenged Gowdy to come up with “a single shred of evidence” that the post was associated with Cruz.

Gowdy hasn’t produced proof, but one thing’s for sure: The Cruz campaign has been accused of nearly every dirty trick that’s surfaced on the GOP side. That doesn’t make it true, but it’s quite a record.
