Politics, saudi arabi women, Saudi women, Saudi women can vote, saudi women rights, women in politics
There is good and bad news this week from the publicity-shy Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The good news is that thanks to King AbdullahBin Abdul Aziz’s announcement on Sunday, Saudi women will be able to vote in municipal elections four years from now and even become full, voting members of the “Shura” Council that advises the king. The bad news is that unless women are given the right to drive, they will have to ask their fathers, husbands, brothers, or sons to take them to the polls.
Polly thinks this is great news for the women of Saudi Arabia! Hopefully, they will get their driver licenses so they can drive themselves to the polls.

This is nothing more than a publicity stunt and an empty promise. What’s the point of elections if there is NO parliament in Saudi Arabia? => http://andreasmoser.wordpress.com/2011/09/27/women-voting-saudi-arabia/
